WAHEEB's been into music since he was a kid. His mom got him started with her love for music and the songs she used to play.
At home, the cassette deck ran all day long, bumping her favorite artists.
“I remember one day my mom was watching an Elvis concert… I grabbed the remote like a mic and started doing the King.”
As a teen, he'd hit open mics around town. Back then, R&B was the soundtrack of his days.
“So it only made sense to cover Willy Denzey, Corneille, Leslie, Amine on stage...”
His parents, worried about his future, weren't feeling him dropping school for music.
“The first concert I ever went to was Jay-Z and Beyoncé, September 13, 2014. It was just… magic. That's when I knew what I wanted to do: sing and be on stage.”
Once he wrapped up school in 2016, Waheeb left his hometown for Paris to chase the dream.
“I was lucky enough to meet people in the industry who helped me improve my singing, my style and my writing.”
Working in the studio with Legendz Recordz got him into music production and made him want it even more: Make it as a singer.
